The final tournament in an inaugural four-tournament playoff series called the FedExCup, THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola represents the culmination of the PGA TOUR season. The tournament, which will be held at East Lake Golf Club, September 11-16, will mark the crowning of the first-ever FedExCup champion.

To date, only weekly ticket books have been sold, surpassing sales goals by 55% from last year, mainly due to the PGA TOUR’s introduction of a playoff competition that concludes here in Atlanta. Attendance at the tournament will be capped at 25,000 spectators per day.

“The excitement around this year’s tournament as the playoff finale has greatly impacted ticket sales,” said Todd Rhinehart, executive director of THE TOUR Championship. “We are providing a one-time opportunity for fans who want to attend the tournament on specific days, to secure their tickets now. This will be Atlanta’s premiere, annual sporting event, so fans should take advantage of being part of golf history as it unfolds in our city.”

A new era in golf will culminate at THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola this year with the sport’s first season-long competition - the FedExCup. The annual FedExCup champion will be determined by points accumulated through the regular season of 33 weeks.
