Muddy Buddy, a unique off-road ride and run race is coming to The Georgia International Horse Park this Sunday, June 24 at 8:00 am.
The Muddy Buddy Ride and Run Series involves teams of two traversing a six-mile obstacle course. One team member starts running and one riding; switching roles at each obstacle. The teams continue leapfrogging each other through the course, culminating with a crawl in a custom built, 50-foot long, sloppy, sticky mud pit - hence the name, 'muddy buddy.'
As part of the festivities, teams will come donning wacky costumes and team names and compete in the annual costume contest. Also the Mini Muddy Buddy offers a chance for the little ones ages 4-12 to get impossibly. A portion of the series proceeds will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), the official charity of the event.
The Challenged Athletes Foundation is dedicated to reaching out to people with physical disabilities by helping them pursue a more active lifestyle through physical fitness and competitive sports.
