Rain Barrel Workshop, $40 per barrel
Make a rain barrel and take it home the same day! As water becomes scarce and rates increase, lets re-examine the methods our forefathers used to conserve it. Participants will receive a 55 gallon barrel, complete with screening and a spigot, ready to collect free rainwater to use in your garden or pond. Limited to 20 participants each session, pre-register by calling 770.904.3500. Center admission additional fee.

Are you interested in learning how you can have a sustainable office? Join Larry Razzetti of Pollution Prevention Assistance Division for a presentation on ways your office can reduce impact on the environment and help save resources. Handouts that your office staff can use will be provided. Please pre-register by contacting 770.904.3500.

Meet at the ticket counter to join our staff on our beautiful, wooded acreage to explore the lives of early inhabitants and settlers of Gwinnett County. Hikes with young children will be shorter, strollers are welcome. Please wear appropriate footwear.

Science in Action Badge, $6 per Brownie
Fun, hands-on activities including a science and technology hunt, balloon blowing, make a butterfly of many colors, and construct a magnetic box. Come learn about science! Minimum participation 15, maximum participation 30. Spots fill quickly, pre-registration strongly recommended. Call 770.904.3500 to register your troop by August 15.
