Parents and community members are invited to visit Gwinnett’s Maxwell High School of Technology for the school’s Open House this week. The event takes place Thursday, September 4, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at 990 McElvaney Lane in Lawrenceville.
Parents are invited to visit the school and meet their students’ teachers, as well tour the school’s different labs. Maxwell High students will demonstrate the skills they’re learning in the classroom.
The different courses offered at Maxwell High include:
-Auto Collision Repair -Early Childhood Education
-Automotive Services -Electronics
-Commercial Arts -Graphic Communications
-Computer Aided Drafting -Public Safety
-Construction -Healthcare Sciences
-Cosmetology -Welding
About 1,000 students in grades 11 and 12 are currently enrolled in Maxwell High School of Technology courses. The school will hold a second Open House later this Fall on November 20, for prospective students to learn more about Maxwell High’s Technical Education courses.
